USA Women’s soccer is first in FIFA rankings

The usa womens soccer team is first in the FIFA rankings as of January 2010. According to ussoccer.com team head coach Pia Sundhage has named a 26 player roster to continue to training camp Jan. 17-Feb. 4 in Southern California. The roster is a change from the 29 player roster Sundhage used in the 2009 match ups.

The roster includes 19 WPS players, six of which are top picks for the WPS draft. The team will be competing in the 2010 Algarve Cup. Last year, they lost out to Sweden in the championship game.
