The first thing you should do is write an short introduction because not everyone at the wedding knows who you are. If you just go up, some people are bound to say “who the heck is she?!”
So give a short, humble introduction of yourself. Something like “Hi, my name is Mary and I’m the bride’s mother” is good, sweet and straight to the point. You don’t need to say anything fancy during your introduction because that would be over-doing it.
