My Spouse is Asking: Do I Qualify For A Mortgage

My spouse and I are planning on getting our first home and we are very excited. This is a second marriage for both of us and we are anxious to restart our new lives together with our blending family. We contacted my sister, who is a real estate agent, and started searching for our dream home. After only looking at two homes, we found the perfect one. We found my spouse has negative things on his credit from his previous marriage. So I’m asked do I qualify for a mortgage from the lender. Knowing this home would not be on the market long, I did qualify for the mortgage and now it’s time to clean his credit up.
