Concrete Ramps for Handicap Accessible Houses
July 20, 2010 3:52 pm Home ImprovementIn the 1950s, people with disabilities had to stay in their homes, and could rarely go out into public. Since then, buses and other forms of public transportation have modernized and now provide access for those people in wheelchairs. If you know someone with a handicap, you should consider installing a concrete ramp to replace your old staircase. You will find that it will also help when you are using a wheelbarrow, or transporting a bicycle to your garage. You will need to mix cement, and use rebar to reinforce the angle on the ramp. If you need help, hire a building contractor.
