Sometimes the question still gets asked:”why should I backup ps3 games?”, so it’s worth providing the answer - because it makes good economic sense to do so. When you’re paying $50 or so for the latest Playstation games, there’s absolutely no way you’d wish to stump up another $50 just to re-purchase the same media should those original game discs become damaged or corrupted. And they do get damaged over time because with continual use the discs start to accumulate little scratches - which can eventually render them as unplayable. So what we’re really talking about here is making backups of your PS3 game discs simply to protect your original investment.
