Australia You Will Never Be Forgotten
July 31, 2010 4:59 am FinanceThis is our last day in this fantastic country. The cruise ship will be pulling out of port this evening. Decided to keep some of the Australian money as a souvenir. But still have to go by the foreign currency exchange and get the bulk of our money put back into U.S. dollars. How fun it has been to learn another country’s monetary system. I will never forget the first time I gave a merchant what I thought was three quarters, and it turned out to be $6.00 in $2.00 coins. We had a good laugh over that. He was very kind.
