High end snowboarding helmets are available from several different manufacturers and endorsed by many of the sports finest and most famous athletes.  Although you can choose these helmets as a beginner, it’s not necessary until you get into more serious boarding.  Once you’re ready to hit the pipe and racing extreme boardercross, the higher end helmets would be a better choice.  They offer features such as full face guards and chin bars which protect your head and your face.  If you’ve ever done a face-plant in the snow, and as a beginner, you most likely have, then you understand why these features would be important for those boarding at higher speeds and greater difficulty.  However, if snowboarding is simply a hobby for you, then a basic helmet is probably a good choice for you.

At 5’7″ and without much of a vertical, I knew that if I ever wanted to make my high school basketball team I really needed a way to improve my vertical.  There was no “magic pill” for me to take which would make me taller, but I had heard of training programs out there which could increase one’s vertical.  I finally purchased one, and after only 8 weeks on the program, believe it or not, I Could Dunk!!

When I came back to school following the summer of my vertical training, the coaches were absolutely floored by my progress and welcomed me onto the team with open arms.  I was a starter on the team for my remaining two years of high school and, although I’m not an NBA star, I still achieved my dream of starting on the high school team.
